I am now a postdoctoral researcher at Universidad de la Republica, Uruguay, working with Prof. Pablo Muse. Before I was a postdoc at Duke University working with Guillermo Sapiro and Sina Farsiu. I did my Phd with Prof. Jean-Michel Morel at CMLA, ENS Cachan (France) and Prof. Gregory Randall at IIE, Universidad de la República (Uruguay) and with the wonderful collaboration of Rafael Grompone von Gioi. Previous to that I had the pleasure to work at INRIA/ENS with Josef Sivic and Ivan Laptev. Before all that I graduated as Electrical Engineer from Universidad de la República, Uruguay.
My research interests are in the areas of Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision. In particular, during my thesis I worked on perceptual organization for clustering/segmentation problems, producing robust and unsupervised algorithms with succesful applications.
